First Fishing News of 2011! My cell (231-668-2894) Bass Pro Shop”Preferred Guide"
I want to send out a fishing report about every month to help me keep my clients informed on hot bites and social news like sport shows that I will be attending doing seminars on fishing methods. I also have introduced a seminar this year on casting techniques spin and bait casting! I will be doing this one at Bass Pro Shops Auburn Hills location on 2/26 & 2/27 also the following weekend 1/5 & 1/6. NOW THE HOT STEELHEAD FISHING NEWS AND MORE!!!!
We are experiencing a thaw and this lets me get into the lower end of the Big Manistee River that has been frozen for the last 2 months. When this happens each year we have great fishing as this exposes many steelhead that has never seen any fishing pressure and are stacked up ready to bite! This is a great opportunity for very good days of fishing. I will be fishing steelhead and trolling Brown trout till the 20th of April. There can be many advantages to going soon not much fishing pressure yet and lots of unsuspecting steelhead to be caught!
SMALLMOUTH
Looking ahead to May Smallmouth action I already have many bookings for this unbelievable fishery on Lake St Clair where 50-100 fish days are the norm. My son Garrett will be on the water also this summer again with his bass boat like last year so we can handle larger groups. Garrett has his Captain license and extensive training by me; everyone last year said they would go with him anytime! Even with two boats we are filling up fast!
MUSKY JIGGING & CASTING
Musky casting and jigging starts in June you have to check this out we put more musky in the boat last year than ever before and it was because of some new methods we have put into use that made all the difference!
